At a time when our cities are struggling to find space in dignified conditions for migrants who are packed together like sardines in makeshift camps, the work of Jean Prouvé (1901-1984), which is the subject of a wonderful exhibition organised by the LUMA Foundation in Arles, is more relevant than ever. With no less than 12 prefabricated and removable houses created by him between 1939 and 1969, the exhibition looks back at the goals of the man who dreamt of solving the problems of inadequately housing, in the post-war years. A must.
