LiFE, a place where to “experiment, meet new people and discover new things”, located in a former submarines base in Saint-Nazaire, North-West of France, will hold from May 25th to September 24th an exhibition by Haroon Mirza. The English artist is known for his sculptural installations that generate audio compositions.

The title of the installation, /\/\/\ , represents a zigzagging movement which symbolizes the Aquarius zodiac sign as well as the DNA movement. The installation, in between science and art, immerses the visitor in a visual and audio world (with contributions by musicians Nik Void and Tim Burgess). The exhibition space was subjected to a specific treatment, in collaboration with architect Francesca Fornasari, taking cues from the geodesic structure of the “radôme” (radar dome) which is laying on the rooftop of the submarine base.

The exhibition is an ‘off’ programmation of the Grand café, the contemporary art center of Saint-Nazaire.
The opening will be held on May 24th at 6.30 pm, with the artist attending.
