This week, L’Architecture d’Aujourd’hui followed the trail of associations that aim to make better public spaces for the cities of tomorrow. Here are a few events not to miss in April :

Petites leçons de villes (little lessons on the cities), Paris. 
At the Pavillon de l’Arsenal, in Paris, the CAUE (Council of Architecture, Urban Planning and the Environment)  is organizing a series of lectures on public buildings, on the subject of the architecture of public pools, starting April 20th.

Placemaking week, Amsterdam.
Project for Public Spaces
, a New York based non-profit-organization, launched a call for proposal for architects and other public space professionals, in order to participate in the Placemaking Week, which will be held in Amsterdam in October 11th-14th . Proposals can be submitted until April 28th. A webinar series, available live online in between 1:00 and 2:00 pm, will be launched on April 18th.

Life Between Buildings, Älmhult.
Jan Gehl Architects
have opened their international itinerant exhibition “Life Between Buildings” at the IKEA Museum in Älmhult, in Sweden, showcased until May 14th. The exhibition, which has been previously hosted at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art and at the Venice Biennale of Architecture 2012, will end on May 14th. Matthew Lister of Jan Gehl Architects will also give a talk in Wichita at the Hudson, on interventions in public space, on April 20th.
